Cedarbrae Medical Centre was established in 2017 to provide comprehensive, high-quality medical care to the Scarborough community. The policies below help us deliver the best care possible to every patient.
Cedarbrae Medical Centre is a Family Health Organization registered with the government. If you seek care with other doctors outside our clinic, we have to pay the government for those visits. (Emergency department and specialist visits do not count.)
The Ministry of Health routinely notifies us of "Outside Use." We have been advised to review the report and may de-roster patients who continue to seek care outside. This may result in you not being registered with us.

Missing an appointment disrupts the clinic workflow:
Please give at least 24-48 hours notice for cancellations by calling 416-901-6370, emailing contact@cedarbraemedicalcenter.com, or via the Ocean link.
If more than one appointment is missed, a $50.00 fee will be charged. This policy is approved by OMA.
Appointments are scheduled at 10-minute intervals. Please be punctual — any delay can cascade to other patients. If you are running late, the doctor may not be able to accommodate you or provide a full visit.
It is generally better to only have the patient and one attendant if necessary. This avoids disruption and helps the doctor focus. Exceptions can be made for children, the elderly, and language needs.
Staff abuse will result in immediate discharge from practice. Our team is here to help — please treat them with respect.
OHIP does not cover all services. Examples include sick notes, prescriptions for massage, travel-related advice, TB testing for work, and certain forms. You can opt to pay-as-you-go or pay a block fee for the full year. Please refer to our list of fees at the front desk.
